Abstract tessellated patterns shift and transform through light, carrying the viewer from pure abstraction toward rock, stone, and mountains ; the great telluric forces that shape our world. Imaginary constellations emerge, forging a dialogue between these earthly forces and the structures of the cosmos.
Tessellation allows a set of points to generate a pattern in which everything holds together.
Contemplative by design, the work explores perception through forms that appear and disappear, questioning the nature of reality and the way light can deceive our senses.
The main inspiration comes from Spinoza’s notion of Pantheism: the idea of a “great whole” in which everything is nature, a spiritual form of naturalism grounded in the world we inhabit.
