Low tech installation.
3D printed wind indicators, nails, instructions.
Variable dimensions. 2024
Description: A low tech installation to reveal the beauty of invisible air turbulence.
This project was created with a strong constraint: it can be installed anywhere in the world, with simple instructions, and without any travel.
Lemercier’s first kinetic piece has no motor, and doesn’t need electricity to function: it’s a grid of small modules that self aligns with the ambient air flow or wind.
The aesthetic is inspired by “inclinaisons”, a series of plotter drawings from 1971 by algorithmic art pioneer Vera Molnár.
